Why choose CSES at the U of A?


The Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food, and Life Sciences' Department of Crop, Soil, and Environmental Sciences offers nationally competitive undergraduate and graduate degree programs and study-abroad opportunities that are designed to prepare knowledgeable students that are capable of contributing to society in many possible ways.

Undergraduate students in CSES also have the opportunity to be a part of the University's new Honors College and participate in the Bumpers College Honors Program. A tremendous amount of scholarship money is available through these opportunities for qualified individuals.

November 15 — Fall Early Admission Notification Deadline
February 1 — Honors Scholarship Application Deadline
February 15 — Fall Priority Admission Consideration Deadline, Scholarship Application Deadline for New Students
March 1 — Complete the FAFSA (Free application for Federal Student Financial Aid). Pick up application from high school counselor, or apply on the web at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. List U of A on FAFSA so that the university can calculate your financial aid package.
March 15 — Scholarship Application Deadline for Transfer Students


 

Is financial assistance available?

 
The majority of CSES undergraduates receive some degree of financial assistance in the form of scholarships, loans, or work-study arrangements. Many CSES students also choose to work part-time in the department for one of the faculty members.

CSES has a large number of scholarships available to undergraduate students from freshmen to seniors.

CSES puts on an annual golf tournament, the Delta Classic, to raise money to sponsor several scholarships for in-coming freshmen.
